I’m absolutely loving your show. The Sherlock fandom at its cracky best.
I very much enjoyed the addiction roundtable. Give my squee to Basser.
Can’t wait for next month. Have you ever considered going bimonthly?

The podcast takes a lot of effort to make and they don’t have enough content to make two-plus hour episodes more than once a month.

      Hi Aless,
We have indeed considered going bi-monthly and a couple of times a year we do. This usually coincides with fan conventions or holiday periods when some of us have more time to dedicate to the episodes. We also have near weekly episodes coming out during filming with our Spoilercasts, which are formatted a bit differently from the major episodes and are recorded and edited more quick and dirty. But with 221B Con right around the corner, we’ll have extra content to put out two episodes in the next month.

Hey, I really enjoyed listening to this!

I’m the author of the abandoned Rentboy on Montague Street fic mentioned in this episode. Someone mentioned it as one of their favourite fics (thank you!) but it was mentioned that while well-written it was not necessarily the most realistic. I wrote as much of it as was ever posted online when I was 17/18, so three years ago now, but I’ve never been able to carry on with it partly because I moved away for uni and partly because I knew that I was writing about something problematic that I wasn’t in a great position to comment on. (This was the case with another of my fics too.) That’s why it hasn’t been updated since 2012… oops.

My hope is that eventually I’ll be able to go back to it and write in a less problematic style. This podcast has definitely got me thinking about how to tackle it again. I’ll add a note on AO3 in the next few days warning people that the fic is problematic (as I should have done years ago) and hopefully make some useful changes this summer after I finish uni. But I am really, really happy you enjoyed the fic despite its problems, and will link to this podcast in the note if that’s OK?

    Thanks again,

    theshockblanket
